HOLY COW!! My baby sister graduated high school! I am sitting here in the Indianapolis International Airport wondering how it is my little chubby cheeked baby sister is a high school graduate and soon to be 18. Where has the time gone?! One thing is for sure - I feel REALLY old right now. I remember when she was just a chunky little baby with those cute little chunky rolls. I remember when she was 4 and did a silly dance for my friends and I when we were visiting Hawaii (2 weeks after I graduated high school might I add), and now - she is a high school graduate, almost 18, and about to go off into the world as a young adult.
Can I just cry like RIGHT now?!
We went and visited our Grandparents. It's always these special times that really make us miss the ones that are no longer with us, but also reminds us to enjoy the time we do have with the ones still here - we just don't know when we won't have them any more. Our Grandparents were always a huge part in our lives. They were amazing people - so loving and caring. They are missed so much.
She is the baby of the family. There are no more high school graduations for us until the grandkids start (which I know will be here sooner then I would like). I look forward to seeing what life has in store for her. Sounds like she will be off to Florida in January, and will be doing some business management focus, and also wants to get into the real estate scene. It'll be fun to see how life unfolds for her, and I wish her the best in whatever endeavors she chooses to take.
Good luck Kaylah! You are all grown up!
P.S. Nothing like handing your camera over to your dad and doing a quick back button focusing tutorial. Took a couple times but super stoked to be in the photos for a change. :)
